Job Title : Superintendent Resource Geology

We are currently looking for talented, motivated, and high-performing geoscientist for the
position of Superintendent Resource Geology to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This senior
technical role within our geology team will lead the activities associated with geological
interpretation, resource estimation, and resource modeling, as well as actively participate in
mine planning activities. With 21 active exploration and mining tenements covering
approximately 1,500 square km, it is an exciting time to be part of AMAK’s geology team.
Located at a comfortable 1,750 m above sea-level in the Najran-Al Joshwan mountain range,
this position is open to people ready for adventure and who thrive in driving high performance in
themselves and their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained.
  • Supports Manager Mine Geology, Manager Exploration and Manager Technical Services in the development of mineral resource and mineral reserve block model estimates, including short term production models.
  • Generates 3D interpretations in Datamine, Micromine and Leapfrog, to complete geological and grade wireframes, block models and resource estimates for underground and open pit planning activities.
  • Uses sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of geological and geophysical data to deliver meaningful models in collaboration with the project team.
  • Employs geological database software to review and perform quality control checks of drill hole and grade control data.
  • Plan, design, and monitoring of diamond drilling to ensure ore body resource estimates meet resource/reserve classifications in collaboration with the project team.
  • Assists in the timely validation of internal resource estimates.
  • Participate in short and long-term mine planning.
  • Assists in the timely completion of Technical Reports, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Study reports related to AMAK´s resources.
  • Supports the development and training of local nationals by providing mentorship, guidance, and coaching, leading to their growth and development.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience in resource estimation techniques in coarse gold and base metal operations.
  • Knowledge of resource estimation techniques in underground and/or open pit mining, highly desirable.
  • Advanced user of 3D-modelling software including Datamine, Micromine and Leapfrog.
  • Proficient in the use of geological databases (MS SQL and Maxgeo Datashed).
  • Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).
