AMAK Joins Forces with Ministry of Environment in Celebrating Environment Week 2025

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – April 2025: Reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development, Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company (AMAK) is proud to participate in Environment Week 2025. This year’s edition is themed “Our Environment is A Treasure” and is held from April 20 to 26 in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and its regional branch in Najran.it is one of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program and Green Saudi Arabia, affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

AMAK’s involvement reflects its continued support for national efforts aimed at raising environmental awareness across all segments of society, while encouraging responsible environmental practices that contribute to a cleaner, greener Saudi Arabia. This initiative aligns closely with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, both of which emphasize environmental protection as a key pillar of national transformation.

Environment Week 2025 features a wide range of activities organized by the Ministry, including large-scale clean-up and tree-planting campaigns at King Fahad National Park and Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Park. The initiative also includes school and government outreach programs focused on expanding green cover and combatting desertification—core objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative.

So far, AMAK has taken part in several environmental activities that include:

  • An informational booth at (Najran Park) for a duration of six days.
  • Took part in Environment Week activities held at several schools in Thar Governorate.
  • Ongoing tree-planting initiatives throughout the year.
Commenting on the occasion, Engr. Geoff Day, Chief Executive Officer of AMAK, said:
